This pattern was super thorough and the steps were very clear! I’m a total beginner and was still able to follow it (googling a few of the steps I hadn’t done before, like sewing in a zipper). I modified the pattern by lowering the neckline a bit and making the overall dress much shorter to better suit my style. I’m super pleased with the final product— the design is really pretty! My only note is that based on the size guide, I was between a Medium and Large, but once I made the dress in Large it was very big on me, so I had to take it in quite a bit for it to be fitted. If I made it again, I would look at the final dress measurements and compare them to something I own, rather than use the size guide provided, to make a decision on which size to make. Very happy overall, and looking forward to making more Rosy patterns!

Normally when I make things I just let the vibe take me and hope for the best. This dress however was too cute not to attempt the pattern. I did have to make some adjustments as I have some odd body measurements. But over all I love it. It was easy enough to follow and I would recommend it for someone who is not brand new to sewing but has a few projects under their belts!

I am a confident beginner & the instructions were so detailed which made this much easier to sew. I am on the bustier side so it was a little tight around there (to be expected) but the rest of the fit was great. I used 100% linen for the lining and main which probably didn't help the bust situation either. Anyways lol, I cannot wait to purchase more patterns from this shop!

Turned out super cute, I made matching dresses for me and my bestie in New York for her birthday. The seller was responsive when I needed some clarifying questions on sizing. Video tutorial was helpful as well

100/10 pattern. It is super easy to use. I used this print as my practice piece. I’m excited to try on my real fabric now. I sewed in size small. I think I need to bring the waist in just a touch. And then it would fit perfect

okay pattern for beginners, but there were definitely some issues too. i would've liked some more explanation and instructions for the difficult parts i.e. the lining, the collar and the invisible zipper installation (!!!). also, the instruction booklet (which is giving chat gpt sorta...) somehow just forgot about the lining of the skirt after cutting it out?? so i kinda had to wing it, which wasnt ideal. finished dress fits okay, but it doesnt look super polished. tldr: pretty simple project for beginners that turns out as expected: okay.

Really like this dress. As a beginner i struggled a lot with the zipper and the fact that (because of my choice of fabric) the dress needed a full lining. The seller was really helpful when I told her about the full lining and gave me more instructions for this. Will make this dress again for sure in other fabrics.

As somewhat of a beginner, I did find the zipper portion of the instructions a bit tricky—but that may have just been my experience. I ended up making mine slightly longer, and I do wish I had known about and watched the tutorial beforehand. Overall, I’m very happy with how it turned out and will be making more!

Finally whipped this pattern up! I’m an intermediate sewist and it’s definitely on the trickier side with a lot of pieces and confusing pattern names (front middle and front middle 2?) so I had to unpick more than I would’ve liked. Most mistakes I made were from my own laziness or lack of attention to detail. The sizing is also in cm, so when sizing for myself I got pretty confused, as I’m used to imperial for my body measurements so would’ve been nice to have 2 charts. Otherwise, it came out true to size, but I think I’ll size down for my next iteration. I’m using this as the base for my wedding dress. It’s a beautiful shape and neckline. Oh and don’t use thick fabric! I used a linen table cloth and a thin cotton bedsheet for my first version and even that was too much. It is very heavy and hot!

It's a really simple pattern, but in my opinion the instructions are not clear enough, and the sizing chart is confusing. I ended up going by finished garment measurements and that was the correct choice (if I'd gone with the size chart the dress would've been to big). Also the written instructions are completely different from the video tutorial, both methods work but it confused me initially. A confident beginner would be able to make this dress, just being mindful of these inconsistencies. Other than that, I had fun making this, it's a really quick project. My dress turned out really pretty and I'm happy with it. I will say though if you have a curvier frame (bigger hips) the A-line effect of the skirt will not be very pronounced. I still love how it looked in the end.

Pattern was very easy to follow, definitely beginner friendly. Even for a more experienced seamstress, it was a quick, fun project to throw together. Unfortunately the top didn't fit quite right on me but the shorts are PERFECT for my more hourglass body type. They've become my go to short pattern. I added patchwork pockets and a draw string to my most recent pair. If I could change one thing it would be for this pattern to be more size inclusive. I had to make the biggest size shorts as a US 12-14.

Pattern was easy to follow and went together quickly. Super cute and sizing was correct. I made it for my daughter and she loved it!

This pattern is beautiful! I modified it to combine several of the side panels due to time constraints and did the top separately for easier fabric management in my small space. I’m a little disappointed in myself for not allotting enough time to do all the individual skirt panels, since it seems like it turned out so pretty for others, but oh well! I also bought bias tape instead of making my own like the pattern directions. All that to say, I’m an amateur sewer and a cheater lol. But great pattern! I wore this dress to my white coat ceremony and graduation! My tip to other beginner sewers out this is to take your time with the prep work. It will make the actual sewing much easier.

I love love this pattern and design! The shorts were a bit blousy but I was able to make an easy adjustment that has me over the moon with the results!

Instructions were easy to follow. I'm a beginner and with minimal help from my advanced sister I was able to make this dress efficiently. I was in between sizes so I made a mock up of the size that fit my larger measurements and tailored it to make a new pattern to make the final version of the dress. Additionally i shortened the dress to my desired length and took out the slit in the front and opted for a vent in the back. Came out great!

This is a very cute and easy pattern to follow. I am still what I would consider a beginner. I did have some confusion as to what size to choose. My bust measurement (94cm) put my body measurement in an XL, but the measurement of the finished garment would have had me in a small (106 cm). I could have likely gotten away with an XS, based on the finished measurements of the top (XS 101cm). The pattern suggested to go with the larger size, so I printed and sewed a L. It was way too big. I reprinted and sewed a small and it fits wonderfully. I did not make the shorts. Other than my confusion regarding what size to choose, this is a lovely pattern. The finished products on both sizes turned out wonderfully. Hopefully my review will help anyone with similar confusion regarding sizing. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I recently used this sewing pattern, and I must say, it was incredibly beginner-friendly! As someone who is just starting out with sewing, I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. I would say I’m an “advanced” beginner and this was so easy to follow! I can sew most things, just rarely turns out perfect and this was absolutely adorable! Made this out of a table cloth I found at goodwill. I’m definitely gonna try again with a different type of fabric! I made a few adjustments just based on preference but the pattern was perfect! I sized up one size because I tend to use way too much seam allowance and it was just right! So thankful for the seam allowance that was already given in the pattern as well!

I'm an enthusiastic beginner and the pattern was easy to follow. I did like that I found a video tutorial as well for bits that confused me. Overall, it was a really good pattern and I'll definitely be using again for another dress 👗

The instructions were very easy as definitely beginner friendly as this is only my second dress I’ve made. I did have to shorten the elastic in the back as I have a smaller waist than bust but otherwise sizing is correct.

The instructions are very clear and helpful. It’s intermediate level (IMO) but if you are a very patient BEGINNER level then you can make this yourself. I would honestly size down. The top, although it’s supposed to be loose, looked like a S/M and i made the smallest size. I had to alter a lot because I’m a 00/XXS UK4 US0 This took me 5 hours to print, trace, cut and sew. I used stretchy double knit fabric.

The dress came out super cute! It is a timeless piece in my wardrobe now. The assembly was okay as any other pattern. The instructions were very clear and simple to follow. I had some issues at the beginning with the sizing as according to the all the charts I should have used an L or XL size, but it was way too big for me. I tried making alterations to make it fit better, but eventually I gave up and used an M size which is my usual size and now it fits perfectly! But I guess the issue was more on me than in the pattern. Overall it's a great pattern!

I really like this pattern and I will be making at least two of these for myself. I am about 170lbs and 5'7". The instructions say to leave one part of the bodice open - I needed to complete it to check fit and then undid the seam later to fit the zipper. The strap - pattern piece says cut 2 front and 2 back; instructions say cut 2 only. Instructions say to cut the strap at 10 cm - the strap ended up being WAY too short for me and I had to redo it with a longer piece. Recommend cutting 4 strap pieces instead of cutting the two. The waist fit me fine but the cup size ended up gaping so I had to dart it. Finally, the center point where the cups meet the dress is very fussy when sewing the bodice to the dress. I had to redo it several times due to the roundness of the cups where they met.

Its really easy to make ... it didn't quite fit me that well across the shoulders. It was just a little bit too wide, so the straps weren't as stable as I hoped. HOWEVER, I will be making it again, where I will make the changes necessary to fit my shoulders a bit better. Also, length is short, so I would recommend to lengthen it a little bit more, so you have some moving space. But this dress pattern is a great style

I really enjoyed my first experience using Rosy's Patterns. The instructions were clear and the final fit of the garment was true to the size chart - and it looks great! I'm excited to make more of her patterns in the future.

This was a very easy, lovely pattern. I had to adjust the sides of the bust piece up and I made the waist piece a little longer just for preference. I used a delicate satin. If you are like me and have zero boobs it does fit a little funny in the bust and sits a bit looser than I would like for non flashing comfort even with the straps. But as long as you are okay with it being a bit looser its beautiful and the modifications I made where's anything that I haven't also had to make with a lot of other patterns. Overall 5/5 excited to try more patterns from this company. I also made the dress for my friend and added in a elastic casing piece just under the middle tie for her comfort and it looked great and was also very easy to do.

I absolutely loved working with this pattern — it’s clear that a lot of thought and artistry went into its design. The final result is stunning, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It’s a beautiful piece that really stands out, and you can tell there’s a true creative behind it. That said, I’d like to share a couple of things I adjusted along the way, in case it helps others: I don’t own a serger, so I used French seams throughout. This made the final piece come out slightly smaller than the given measurements, which is to be expected — but totally worth it for the clean finish. Also, the instructions didn’t mention finishing the collar edges, but I anticipated it might be necessary. So instead of cutting the collar pieces as directed, I doubled the fabric, sewed them together, turned them right side out and press

The design is very beautiful, i love to try something new and more complicated. I faced some issues with the shoulder and the back of the dress as it was not very clear in the guidance. Other than that i love it, i change the down part only as this design doesn’t suit my body type. I am XL size but i supposed to go with one size bigger cause it’s hard to wear it, i may put a zipper to be more comfortable.

This was a nice pattern to use. I made two dresses with it, it was a bit of a bigger fit than I wanted so I ended up taking in the pattern quite a bit for the fit shown in photos. My measurements are B- 39.5, W- 29.5, and H - 40. For the denim dress I went with size XL, I still had to take it in a bit around the waist and hips. For the sequin dress I used L, but due to fabric having more give I also took in at waist and hips. But great pattern and easy enough to follow. It created a perfect base for these dresses. Thank you so much! I had been looking for a while for a woven dress pattern and this one was exactly what I wanted.

Fairly easy to make but the pattern is huge even tho i adjusted it to make it smaller so keep that in mind

I've been sewing for about a year and a half now so I would say I am a mid beginner. This pattern has some small things are funky and not super detailed but overall is you can understand it and get to where you want to be! My tip would be to just read the direction step twice before doing it. Not a super beginner project but if you have make a few tops before should be a breeze. This top also comes out exactly how it is pictures in the image so it will be more open front. I added a button and two panels in the front for a little more coverage.

Seller was super helpful to advise on how to tweak the pattern to fit my exact measurements. Easy to follow

I’m a beginner to sewing, and I found this to be fairly easy! Step 12 I was a little confused, but I made it work. I found Rosyspatterbs on YouTube and found that helpful as well. Will be purchasing more from here. I did find it a wee bit short, so next time I’ll be adding some length, and for some reason it does pull at my chest the tiniest bit, but that could be on my end? It’s odd because it isn’t too tight. But it’s not enough that I’m worried. I also added tie straps to the back for my own little flare.

I found sizing on this set to be odd. I made the smallest size and it’s probably 2 sizes too big for me. I was able to alter the pattern a bit and make it work perfectly. That aside - the pattern is so easy, I made this in one day. I found it to be clearly written. And once I was finished I really love the set.

I found the sizing was off and I had to make a lot of changes to make the dress fit. The sew along video was helpful and the pattern was easy to print. I liked that you can separate the different sizes for printing

Customer service was amazing! I love this dress and would definitely recommend. Instructions have really easy to graphics and the video is also helpful. Pattern has a bit more of a flare than the photo so I trimmed the sides a bit to get the desired silhouette. If I were to make this one again, I'd likely make the bust smaller and shorten the straps.

I’m a bit of a advance beginner, & i absolutely loved this pattern. Made it & it came out good on my first try i was obsessed.

This was such a fun pattern to make. I did alter the straps a bit to fit my body better since I made this as maternity alternative. I would follow the fabric recommendations she gives in the files, I made my dress with a heavier fabric and it did effect the movement of the piece

Absolutely love the dress that I made using this pattern! I did size up and it fit perfectly! Also adapted the pattern to give it a lower and more open back and it was easy to do so.
