Raya Skirt Sewing Pattern reviews

I've been sewing for about a year and a half now so I would say I am a mid beginner. This pattern has some small things are funky and not super detailed but overall is you can understand it and get to where you want to be! My tip would be to just read the direction step twice before doing it. Not a super beginner project but if you have make a few tops before should be a breeze. This top also comes out exactly how it is pictures in the image so it will be more open front. I added a button and two panels in the front for a little more coverage.

This was such a great project. I’m a mid beginner and found it fairly easy to follow. I wish the instructions on the bias tape portion were a bit more clear and detailed, but I was still able to get through. I ended up making my skirt a mini, due to not having enough fabric.

Overall I'm really pleased with this set! It's very cute and I can't wait to wear it this summer. The instructions were generally clear, although at a certain point it mentions a skirt lining, which didn't seem to be accounted for in the pattern pieces so it came as a surprise (maybe I missed something). For that reason, I'd recommend reading through the whole thing closely before you start - a good practice anyways!

The pattern instruction is minimal. They have mislabeled Weft and Warp, which made it so confusing. However, the seller has reached out and said she will update the pattern so that it corrects mistakes as well as updating the instruction clearer and more comprehensive. Appreciate the customer service and also seller offered to answer any questions I had.

I have't made this yet, but I looked at the instructions for this and another matching set and WOW! The detail and clarity is the best I have found so far. Great for beginners!

True to size, easy to follow directions

Lovely pattern, changed the top slightly to have more buttons and made this as a bridesmaids outfit in silk dupion was really beautiful!

I had some drapey fabric that I was dying to use and this pattern was perfect! Easy to follow and I like how the skirt came out. Would recommend.

Super simple pattern! I have modified it to have buttons, and a zipper on the back, and be shorter or longer. Super versatile and simple.
